Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in muscle and is an indispensable component for the existence of muscle mass. Glutamine's main qualities are to reduce cortisol levels (a hormone associated with fatigue and muscle breakdown).

Glutamine is a semi-essential amino acid, our body can create it from other amino acids but there are occasions when our body demands it in a much higher form and this amino acid becomes essential in our diet.

These occasions are: High levels of stress, muscular blows or trauma, long endurance and/or intense training, recovery from injuries, sports with a lot of physical wear and tear, people who have suffered burns, states of continuous exhaustion and nutritional imbalances that cause muscular catabolism.
