Amino acids

Amino acids are small organic molecules responsible for forming and combining proteins that are indispensable for the human body, as they provide energy to the body. These particles are made up of hydrogen, nitrogen, carbon and oxygen. Within our organism there are approximately more than 200 amino acids, of which only 20 are essential to help maintain a healthy state.

Amino acids are the ones that are combined in different ways and are varied according to their chemical properties, being able to differentiate two types of amino acids: the essential ones (proteinogenic), those that the body is not able to synthesize and are obtained from food; and the non-essential ones that are those produced by the organism.
